About the Team
The NSWIS Men’s Road Cycling team is an elite racing team operated by the New South Wales Institute of Sport. The team is overseen by Ben Kersten, NSWIS Head Endurance Coach, in conjunction with NSWIS Head Cycling Coach Brad McGee.
The team has been racing for the past three years, providing crucial opportunities for some of the most-promising riders in New South Wales to experience and develop in elite racing.
For the 2017 season the NSWIS Men’s Road Cycling Team has been granted a UCI license. This means the team will be racing in some of the biggest races, and against some of the best riders in the world.
News & Events
To align with the new Cycling Australia national high performance strategy there has been a restructure of the high performance cycling approach within NSWIS, and the Institute will no longer be running NRS Men’s and Women’s teams. We would like to thank all of the riders, coaches, sponsors and supporters that made up the team, without your support we would not have been able to achieve as much as we have. All the best in the future.
